FAQs for Group Entries

My friends and I are not a formal arts group. Can we enter for the group prizes?

Yes! You are welcome to register your group!

My Arts Club is made up of both over 60s and under 60s. Can we still enter?

You can still enter your group. All entries must be from over 60s only, but the original group (e.g. Local Arts Club) may contain under 60s.

Are we allowed to form a new group especially for the King Lear Prizes?

Yes - absolutely! Your group does not have to have existed before in order to be considered for prizes.

Can I submit multiple entries to the group prize?

You can submit as many entries as you like to the group prize. As long as there are at least three different entrants in the group, individual entrants can submit multiple entries to be considered for the group prizes

Can I submit my entry to multiple groups?

You cannot submit one entry to multiple groups i.e. one painting cannot be part of two group entries. However, you are welcome to submit different entries for different groups.

I have already submitted my work but I would now like my work to be considered as part of a group entry. Is this possible?

Please get in touch with us using the contact form below. We will try our best to ensure that your piece is entered for the group prizes.

How are the group prizes judged?

The King Lear Prizes judge the group prizes based on both the number of entrants and the quality of the entries. This is to encourage as many people to take part as possible.

The King Lear Prizes reserve all rights in relation to the judging process. Prizes will be awarded to the winning groups at the absolute discretion of the King Lear Prizes judging panel.
